Mark A. Schusterman, MD, FACS: Medical Director, Houston

Mark A. Schusterman, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified aesthetic plastic surgeon in Houston. He has made his career being in the forefront of plastic surgery and breakthroughs in cosmetic procedures, making him a perfect fit as Medical Director.

Dr. Schusterman is a clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Schusterman first came to Houston in 1988 to start the microsurgery program at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he was Professor and Chairman of Plastic Surgery and held the prestigious Charles M. McBride Professorship in Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Schusterman has been selected by his peers to be included in “The Best Doctors” in America for more than 10 years. Dr. Schusterman is a requested lecturer, both nationally and internationally, and is also the author or coauthor of more than 100 articles and book chapters.

He is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He received his general surgery training at the University of Cincinnati, and his plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh.He received his certificate from the American Board of Surgery in 1987 and from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1989.He became a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons in 1990.

He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He previously served as President of the Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons.
